Letter-writing is a way to encourage people who are already on our side to get to the polls and vote!  We usually write letters to people who are strong supporters but who often don’t vote, so we supply them with the information they need and also write personal messages about why we vote as individuals.  We have gatherings to write letters in people’s homes and in local restaurants, and many people write letters at home. To make our letters more impactful, we get a local return address and try our hardest to transport the letters so they can be mailed with a local postmark.

You can choose to pick up a packet near downtown Silver Spring, Germantown, Chevy Chase, DC, Hyattsville, or to have them emailed to you (if you choose email, you’ll need a printer for double-sided printing and business envelopes).

This is open only to people who can return their completed letters to Silver Spring, Germantown, or Hyattsville in MD, or to Northwest DC.

Note: We always start “new-to-us” letter-writers with one pack of 20 letters.
