Canvassing – or knocking on doors and talking one-on-one with voters – is one of the most impactful steps we can take to influence elections. The more personal and immediate the connection, the greater the likelihood is that we’ll stay in the voter’s mind.  And it’s easier than it may appear to the uninitiated. We usually visit people who are already at least somewhat inclined to vote for our candidate, but they may need encouragement. We provide training and sometimes go in teams to make it even easier for new people.  And we always get together afterwards to decompress, debrief, and have a nice cool drink!
