Sure we donate to candidates that SSPA identifies as “best bets” – candidates in tough but winnable races, where a bit more money could put them over the top. But our peer-to-peer fundraising team takes it  step further. Armed with data on why these candidates are the most impactful target for political donations, a sample email explaining why this is so important, and a link which easily tracks donations, the team reaches out to family, friends, neighbors – anyone in their circle who is like-minded, and invites them to donate. Many times we even get thanked – in the torrent of email demands for money, it’s nice to learn who really needs money and who doesn’t. Anyone can do this – no pressure!
